Remember when Katie Holmes was hot? There was a time when pics of Katie on the set or street in lingerie would have shut down the internet. Servers blowing up, irate men melting phone lines bitching out their isp's for going down just when they needed them.
Now:
The general reaction is: meh
She was the Dawson's Creek cutie, then a movie called Disturbing Behavior where she wore comically oversized black jeans, black shirts and lots of black make up to try and look bad. Then The Gift where she did the slutty thing and her first topless scene. And it was like that 15 second scene in Trading Places when Jamie Lee Curtis did the topless thing and all of the sudden people were like, "Hey, she's hot and stuff." But ever since this whole "Bride of Xenu" thing with Tom Cruise, the life and the sexiness has just been sucked out of her. She looks about as sexy as my mom in that teddie. *shudder* She looks like she ought to be preparing to take over Angela Landsbury's role on an update of "Murder She Wrote"

I like Lady Gaga. As a hard core rocker, I know that's sacrilege, but I think she kicks ass. I like her music. I like her look with that big nose and that amazing white girl booty. woof
But what's cool about her is that she's got actual talent. And if I hadn't liked her before, I came across this clip of her and her garage band covering Zep's D'yer Maker. That's right, she's covering Led Zeppelin for cryin' out loud! How cool is that?! Chicks that rock? Tops on my list every time:
Setting aside the crappy video quality (dude, it's 2006! Even grade schoolers can shoot and edit video better than this!) it's fun for the whole "Before they were famous" vibe.
